Great Place to Go

The Swatchys and their Swatchites are going lots of great places on my behalf! And I think more posts are on their way (Milan? Oregon? Rhinebeck?).

I found another fascinating place that I wish I could go: John C. Campbell Folk School. This school is located in rural North Carolina and offers both weekend and week-long sessions. Classes are offered in knitting, quilting, pottery, beads, weaving, woodwork, glass enameling, and so much more!

Just imagine spending a week in the mountains, studying the craft of your choice and enjoying walks in the woods. Sounds heavenly!

I must admit there are some North Carolina experiences I wouldn't mind having. ;) Perhaps one day I'll have real vacation time and the finances to do something interesting...

Hello,

I've just recently discovered your blog and spent some time reading up on swatchy's travels. (And why!) I'd really love to get involved and I'm wondering - has Swatchy ever been to Catalina Island? If not, well I live there year-round and would really love to show Swatchy all the sights of this popular tourism destination! Please let m eknow if you are interested and we'll talk about it!

I just found your blog, and I love it! I'm a knitter in Washington, DC, and I have CFS/ME. Two years ago I quit my regular job and took up freelance editing. But knitting is my true love and I think it's helped me get through so many of the tough times. That's why I'm so impressed with your creative way of educating people about CFS :-)

Can't wait to see where Swatchy goes next!
